Dr. Ann Veu is an educational leader, consultant, and certified sound therapy practitioner dedicated to the sustainability of the education profession. With over two decades of experience spanning the classroom and site, district and county office leadership, she understands that meaningful school change requires both strategic, sustainable systems and resilient people.
By integrating equity-centered leadership with wellness strategies that foster resilience and belonging, Ann is passionate about creating spaces where individuals feel grounded, connected, and empowered to thrive both personally and professionally. Her work is rooted in the belief that when the adults in a system are supported and regulated, students and communities flourish.
Academic & Professional Foundation
Ann has dedicated her career to building human-centered learning systems. Her approach is deeply informed by her academic background and extensive field experience. She earned her undergraduate degree from UC Davis and both her Master’s and Doctorate in Educational Leadership from CSU Sacramento. Her graduate research explored culturally responsive leadership and the organizational conditions necessary to sustain holistic teaching frameworks.
As a National Board Certified Teacher, she has led high-impact initiatives in equity, social-emotional learning (SEL), and instructional design. Beyond her traditional academic roots, she is a certified practitioner in Trauma-Informed and Somatic Sound Therapy, specializing in nervous system regulation tailored for high-stress professional environments.
At Root and Resonance Collective, we believe that roots ground us, providing the steady foundation and sense of purpose required to navigate times of significant change. Resonance represents the alignment that occurs when transformation and growth move through a community, connecting individuals to their shared goals. By combining the strength of these roots with the resonance of shared, restorative experiences, we create spaces that inspire growth, connection, and long-term renewal.
When she isn't partnering with schools or holding space for sound therapy, Ann finds her own resonance outdoors by traveling, paddleboarding, hiking, or cooking for her son, family, and friends.
